To create a flat surface, a 1⁄2-in. piece of plywood can be added to the convertible top shelf, and a flip-up shelf on the end provides more work space.

The Rubbermaid 1997206 utility cart has storage near the handle for small parts and slots around the edge of the top shelf for small tools. Holes in the cart legs can be used to store wire spools or other rolled materials, and equipment can be tied down and secured during transport.
